Dr. Levsky was selected as a Policyholder Liaison to The Mutual in 2010, and served in that capacity until his election to the Board of Directors in 2012. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board, Chair of the Compensation Committee and is a member of the Audit and Governance Committees for The Mutual.
Dr. Levsky received his BA in Chemistry from Northwestern University in 1996 and his MD from Northwestern University Medical School in 2000. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center and the University of Washington, Seattle, in 2004.
Prior to joining CEP America, Dr. Levsky was an Army officer and combat veteran. He also served as Assistant Residency Director at the Darnall Army Medical Center Residency in Emergency Medicine, Ft. Hood, Texas. He held faculty appointments at the Texas A&M University Medical School and the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. He published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles in the medical literature and served as a reviewer for three medical journals.
Dr. Levsky joined CEP America in 2007, and currently practices at Marin General Hospital in Greenbrae, California, where he is the PA/NP Physician-Liaison and a member of the hospital P&T Committee and the ED Throughput Committee. He is Chair of the CEP/MedAmerica Retirement and Benefits Committee and a member of the CEP Ultrasound Faculty. He was formerly Chair of the CEP America New Partner Committee, and a contributing author for the Clinical Essentials Series.
Dr. Levsky’s professional associations include the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Marin Medical Society, and the California Medical Association. He was a Fellow of the Physician Insurers’ Association of America (PIAA) for the past three years, and serves as a subject matter expert on ED clinical risk management and as a member of the PIAA Risk Management Section and Data Sharing Advisory Committee.
