Brian S. Rhee, MD was re-elected as Secretary to The Mutual’s Board of Directors on June 22, 2016.

Dr. Rhee has served on the Claims Advisory Committee of The Mutual RRG since 2007.  He was selected as a Policyholder Liaison to The Mutual in 2010, and served in that capacity until his election to the Board of Directors in 2012. 

Dr. Rhee currently serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors and is a member of the Nomination Subcommittee, Compensation and Audit Committees.  He has participated in Board of Director Meetings as well as conferences sponsored by the Physician Insurers Association of America (PIAA).

Dr. Rhee is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine since 2003.  He received a BA in Economics from Pomona College in 1995 and his MD from UC San Diego in 1999. He completed a residency in emergency medicine in 2002 at UT Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, TX.

Dr. Rhee is a Senior Partner at CEP America and is currently Vice Chair of the ED at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center. He has been with CEP since 2002.  He has served as the Assistant Medical Director at Garden Grove Hospital and the Scribe Manager at Pomona Valley Hospital.  He has also served as a member of the Compensation Committee of CEP America.

Dr. Rhee’s professional associations include the American College of Emergency Physicians, CAL/ACEP, the California Medical Association, and Orange County Medical Association.
