The Mutual's Board of Directors has selected Drs. Clarkson and Oman as Policyholder Liaisons to the Board of Directors. The Board’s current and immediately past-Chairs, Kelli Westcott, MD and Catherine Hurt, MD both started with The Mutual's Board as Policyholder Liaisons, enabling them to experience Board meetings and learn the basics of insurance company operations and governance before election to the Board. The training process intrinsic to the Policyholder Liaison positions is most effective in preparing practicing physicians to join the Board as effective Directors starting with their first Board meeting.

The Mutual's Board members are very pleased to welcome Drs. Clarkson and Oman as its newest Policyholder Liaisons.

Both Drs. Clarkson and Oman are well known to The Mutual. Drs. Clarkson and Oman have served as Physician Educators for The Mutual's Patient Safety Department. Dr. Clarkson serves as the Medical Director at Adventist Health Hospital in Sonora, California and Dr. Oman is currently at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center.
